Gold Coast full back Steven May could be set to face over a month on the sidelines, after a disgraceful hit on Brisbane’s Stefan Martin.
Martin, the Lions’ primary ruckman, was running through the corridor with his head over the ball when May steamed through him.
With the AFLs scrutiny over head-high hits; the facts that May had his eyes off the ball, wasn’t attempting to collect it and lifted his feet off the ground mean that he is likely to be in a world of trouble.

Gary Ablett may also face scrutiny, after the footage showed him pushing Martin towards May.
Martin is thankfully said to be awake in the change rooms.
